I wanted to take a moment and share something personal.
I recently learned my friend and mentor in photography Patti Bose has passed away from cancer. I learned of the news from a Facebook post right before Thanksgiving. I’ve spent the last few days processing everything and digging through old photographs. I wanted to say goodbye to Patti by sharing some memories.

I have been a commercial photographer for more than 25 years and have changed gear many times since the days of film. I am often asked what’s in my camera bag for location work and what is the best gear to buy. We all have mixed needs depending on what and how we shoot so I wanted to share the different aspects of gear in my camera bag when shooting on-location assignments.

As a part-time model, I've shot with many local photographers--but Sheri is one of the most creative, enthusiastic and professional photographers I have met. She came up with the concept and the location and we told the story of a mythical faerie/water nymph and she continued to come up with new ideas as we shot and as she surveyed her surroundings. The end result is absolutely beautiful! One shot in particular still remains my absolute favorite and serves as my headshot for most of my social media and modeling profiles. She's series and yet fun, all at once and I would be more than happy to do more shoots with her in the future!
I approached Sheri about helping with some updated professional head shots and lifestyle photographs for corporate and PR use. I knew from viewing her work that she would produce great results. Wow! Did she deliver. She was efficient, super easy and fun to work with, and got all my images back to proof really quickly. She helped me select the best images (upon my request), and the results were beyond what I could have imagined. Even the un-retouched images were great - b/c she knows how to set up a shot, from lighting, to composition, to styling. You will be thrilled with the images that Sheri shoots!
Sheri is a pure professional with an amazing eye for her subjects. I hired her to photograph numerous attorneys for a website and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She's been hired numerous more times to come back as more people get hired. I highly recommend Sheri for not just her photography skills, but for her kind demeanor and prompt attention to detail!
Sheri has photographed me and my family for years. She is always our first choice and her professionalism, kindness and detailed eye are unmatched. Her gift with lighting and making people feel comfortable is what not only makes her unique, but so inviting to work with. She makes people like me (who are so uncomfortable in front of the camera) feel at ease, and the photos and colors are always beautiful. As songwriters, she has taken really unique headshots for me and my husband, and always adds a creative eye to compliment the creative work we do. She has also done family portraits for us and has captured so many special moments with our family over the years. I would recommend her for any photography needs and cannot leave a review with high enough praise.
